We are seeking an Engineering Support Specialist II for our Golden Valley, MN location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain lab safety and compliance by completing lab safety checklists, ensuring labs are organized, and distributing PPE supplies
  • Lead calibration and maintenance efforts including identifying items requiring calibration and maintenance, updating eQuip!, obtaining vendor quotes, submitting and obtaining necessary approvals for work, and accompanying vendors while in house
  • Participate in proposal efforts
  • Lead administrative efforts including renewing and tracking software licenses, ordering and dispersing technical publications, purchasing expense items, participating on special projects as requested by E&I team, and supporting data transfers (including downloads and camera data transfers)
  • Support program quotes, purchase requisition requests, sole source justifications, and tracking material
  • Lead gas purchases including obtaining quotes, purchase requisition requests, material tracking, and tracking costs
  • Support tagging, transporting, and tracking of government property
  • Lead periodic inventory counts, mandatory annual inventory counts, and sponsor directed inventory counts
  • Understand and comply with the Government Property Manual, be point of contact for E&I team regarding government property compliance questions, be point of contact for ACST government property personnel
  • Support tracking of individual components as they are 'consumed' into an experiment or assembly build
  • Lead shipping efforts for government property, capital property, and expense items as items move between Honeywell locations and to vendor locations
  • Lead government program close outs as directed by ACST government property personnel
  • Lead tour activities and escort 3rd party services/vendors as directed by E&I team
  • Lead facility efforts (as directed by facility personnel) including generating/tracking/reviewing work orders, ensuring compliance to safety regulations, supporting facility modifications
  • Order capital items and participate in facility modifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 6 + years' experience in business managing inventory and purchase requests (military experience included)
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk for mid-long distances, and lift heavy objects
  • U.S. Citizenship required in order to obtain and maintain government security clearance
WE VALUE
  • Associate's or Technical degree or 4 years Military experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • Experience in materials, purchasing, inventory, and general tracking and accounting
  • Ability to work between management, technicians and scientists in a best-in-class work environment
  • Intermediate to advanced use of SAP, eQuip!, and MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Proactive and resourceful self-starter, with ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range:$61,800. - $77,200.
